our baby girl has the flu:(

Bo was not feeling good good on Thursday. The school nurse called & said that she was complaining of a sore throat & was hot (meaning she has a fever). The nurse said her throat looked ok & she didn't have a fever. She put Bo on the phone & what do I hear on the phone was a soft sad voice....ugh, I hate when she does that! It makes me feel so bad. She told me she just wanted to come home & be with us. So her Daddy went to go & pick her up from school. My feeling was she just wanted some Mommy & Daddy love! She seemed ok for the rest of the night..playing & carrying on with her sister. The next morning, she woke up & she said she really doesn't feel well at all. I took her temp & it shot up to 100.6....I was like "ok then", I guess you are not going to school. We felt really bad for her b/c she was going to miss all the Halloween festivities at school. Her sister told her that she would bring some goodies home for her. I was like"awww" Puni, you are a sweet sister! Her fever stayed pretty much the same all day..the lowest it got was 99.6. This was even with Motrin in her system! I called the Pediatrician and we made an appointment for her for Saturday morning. No ballet today for our girls. Our appointment was pretty close to when class would of started anyway. The diagnosis was she has the Flu & they put her on Tami flu b/c she has asthma. She didn't want her to have to go through testing for the Swine Flu. So she just put her on medication just for the flu. So far so good she seems ok & is responding well to the meds. She is still doing coughing & the doctor said we may have to give her nebulizer treatments. Hopefully she will not miss to much school, but I am pretty sure she will not be going on Monday, & she has a field trip that day. Her teacher told us that the kids are dropping like flies...going to the school nurse & then being sent home. Hopefully Puni will not get sick. But you know how it is with twins??? One gets sick then next week it will the other one! (sigh) What can you do but pray that we get through it! I guess we will see if she will be up to trick or treating. The Doctor said to see how she does tonight. Obviously if she still has a fever she will not be having fun:-( We will just have to make it up to her!
